ABOUT US - Step 1
This topic will highlight the waste problem in the Indonesian capital, DKI Jakarta. The waste problem in Jakarta is one of the worst in Indonesia. The root causes are complex and tangled, from population density to community behavior and waste management facilities’ availability. So, how is it going so far?
DETERMINING TIME AND FRAME- Step 2
According to our problem, PYPx is never a one-person job. In this step, the students set their timelines and deadlines to help visualize the learning process and the end goals – that way, the students can stay motivated and focused.
So here we use measurable deadlines in our timeline to track the progress!
TRIP - Step 3
We find out more about Scientific knowledge of trash energy to produce fuels by visiting and inviting the experts that are linked to the issue that we are inquiring about to get more knowledge and perspective.
ORGANIZING LEARNING- Step 4
Based on visits from various experts, you can get answers about the energy produced by waste and several related technologies.
The pyrolysis machine
The pyrolysis machine is designed to convert plastic into fuel oil (BBM). The fuel produced consists of 3 types, namely gasoline, kerosene, and diesel. The effectiveness of this pyrolysis machine is 80-95 percent based on the type of plastic used. 1 kg of plastic can be converted into 0.8-0.95 liters of fuel.
Science Experiment
Alhamdulillah we succeed in the experiment. The result is the fuel oil only produces 150 grams from 300 grams of trash, second It takes 7 hours to process 300 grams of trash into oil, and third, we have to prevent the gas from leaking. The reflection of our experiment is we have to prevent the gas from leaking so we have to make it tight, we have to keep the cold from the condense.
MONITORING EXHIBITION- Step 5
When we engage ourselves in collaborative and transdisciplinary inquiry processes we gain to identify, investigate, and suggest solutions to real-life problems.
Sharing Exhibition - Step 6
We are collaborating with AFDA Trash Bank to invite the public and school community about processing plastic waste.
We share our knowledge to MI Roudhatul Jannah, Cinere
We share our knowledge with the Al Jabr Community through posters, drama performances, and invite Mr. Mardi to manage waste well and join a waste bank.
