Creating A Comic About Genes and genetics
Learning Goal
I’ve always enjoyed expressing myself as a child. Growing up in a family that constantly put visual arts under the spotlight made me strongly emphasize creativity ever since I was young. When I grew up, I decided to finally put my creativity out by participating in competitions. Around 2022, I won an online drawing contest, and eventually, when I got more confident, I started posting my artworks on social media, receiving lots of support.
When I scrolled through my digital drawings back then, I realized one thing my artworks had in common was that they looked plain, undynamic, and somewhat “flat”. Due to this issue, I set my goal in which is to expand my artistic knowledge and skills specifically in areas I am lacking in and are contributing to that difficulty; composition, poses, and backgrounds
Product Goal
I will create a physical comic book that enables adolescents to explore genes and genetics in a creative and entertaining approach. I decided to have my comic revolving around genes and genetics as it happened to be the subject I recalled the most, throughout my learning journey in science class
