Legacy Project
Legacy Project is where grade 11 and grade 10 collaborate with each other to create an event that can be continued throughout the following school years that will be done by the next generation of grade 11 and grade 10. Legacy project is made to help the students in charge practice their leadership skills that will often be used in their daily life and community. It helps us practice on not only how to reflect our skills, but also the team members as well.

Harmony in Ramadan
Harmony in Ramadan is the first event made by the legacy project team during the blissful month of Ramadan. We made this event to make the students apply Islamic values and use it as a daily habit. The event was held for 1 day, starting from 9AM to 8PM, after the Taraweeh prayer. This not only helps the students apply and show Islamic characteristics, but also bond with other classes as well. The activities provided consists of team building activities, islamic related games such as jeopardy, listening to islamic lectures, and lastly praying together such as the taraweeh prayer.
Process
A very detailed and intricate process of planning was needed in order to create and go about this event. First we started by dividing ourselves into different divisions responsible for different aspects of the event. Such as FNB, Logistics, Safety, Documentation, Decor, Event, Props, and Finance. By doing so, we were able to focus on each of our jobs based on the division and maximize contribution as well as the overall outcome. Before the event started, we understood that we needed some kind of starting budget to fulfill the needs of the event. We decided to create a “Nobar Ngabuburit” as our fundraising targeted towards PYP and MYP students. With the money we made, we were able to fulfill all of the things we needed for the event. Then, each division had their own tasks and responsibilities to complete for the day of the event. Throughout this process, we held a lot of meetings together; whether they’d be online or offline, to make sure we are all communicating thoroughly and making big decisions together as a group. The day before the event we also held a trial session where we practiced how the event will go to 5th graders. Through this trial session we were able to reflect and analyze our strengths and weaknesses which was very helpful to maximize the outcome of our event.
D-Day
Harmony in Ramadhan started with an opening at 9AM gathering all of our participants (MYP students). During the opening session the participants were divided into 15 groups, each group consisting of a mixture of different grades to create a bonding experience within the Al-jabr community. Soon afterwards, each group performed their “Yel-Yel ” or cheers and a special performance about each Nabi. After that each group went to different stations to play different games to furthermore enhance their bond with each other. The games included “Tepok Nyamuk”, “Jeopardy”, “Guess the Movement”, “Whisper Challenge”, and “Continue the Word”. Soon after every participant played in a game of “Hot Potato”. This game was a fan favorite where participants have to answer questions fast and when they get the question wrong, a water balloon is popped on top of their head. After all of the games ended, we held a Tausiyah by MR Hilmy to further inspire and connect them with Islam. A couple representatives were also able to give out takjil for the masjid beside Al-Jabr as a way give back during the ramadhan season. Lastly, we ended with doing Iftar together and sholat taraweeh at 8PM.

Conclusion & Reflection
In conclusion, the results of our event was a success since we were able to manage the event, and the participants very well according to our rundown and planning. Our expectations correspond with the results of the event, and everyone collaborated effectively to make this event successful. It was a relief to hear positive feedback from the participants that most of them liked the event, and about how exciting it was for them to participate. We were able to see different grades collaborating into one group and to let them bond whilst getting to know each other, since Al-Jabr hasn’t been doing these kinds of events for a couple of years. As a part of the committee, we were able to divide our jobs equally to ease the burden of one another which can also be considered as one of our successful achievements. Although money had become one of the obstacles that we faced, we were able to find a way to gain and manage that money through fundraising and start sparing those money. For the next event, hopefully we can create more chemistry and bonding within the community to create a better solidarity as part of the Al-Jabr community whilst applying the Islamic values.
